Dissolvine E-39, a tetrasodium EDTA salt, C10H12N2Na4O8 · 2H2O, is the most widely used liquid chelating agent. It is a versatile sequestering agent, forming stable, water-soluble chelates with polyvalent metal ions in a wide pH range.

Dissolvine E-39 is used in a wide range of applications, with food, feed and pharmaceutical applications being the exception. Depending on the application area, Dissolvine E-39 can funcition as harness controller, stabilizer, potentiator, metal remover, scale dissolver, as well as bleach (and dye) stabilizer.

With one of its main uses within the Personal Care industry, Tetrasodium Salt is often used in products such as: Bath & Shower Products, Color Cosmetic, Ethnic Hair Products, Hair Color/Dye, Hair Gel, Hair Spray, Mousse, Powder, Shampoo, Styling Product, Treatment,Wipes etc.
